George Clooney, Bill Maher, and Bryan Cranston were all Murder, She Wrote guest stars

From 1984 to 1996, Murder, She Wrote broadcast 264 episodes on CBS. With that many murders in the otherwise bucolic small town on Cabot Cove, Maine, there were bound to be a lot of suspects, victims, murderers, etc. One enraptured fan—JasonToon on meh.com—has taken it upon himself to create trading card images of some of Jessica Fletcher’s most noteworthy guests. The background resembles the leather-covered book that started off each episode, all the better to highlight images of an extremely young Joaquin Phoenix, Courteney Cox in a wedding dress, a dashing Bryan Cranston on the tennis court, and George Clooney in a trenchcoat.

These images might spur your interest in some Murder, She Wrote rewatches, but Netflix cruelly rotated the series off its site recently. So we will enjoy these cards instead, as they helpfully highlight these guest stars’ episodes, as well as the season and year they aired (DVDs still available on Amazon!). JasonToon says that if enough people like them, he will make more, so let him know. And we can only hope that somewhere, 91-year-old Angela Lansbury is enjoying a chuckle as she remembers Bill Maher’s mullet.
