Get Coraline—book and film—for under $10 on Amazon today

In an effort to both serve our readers and help support The A.V. Club, we are going to post daily links to deals and interesting items that we find over on Amazon. If you use these links to click through and buy something—not just the thing you clicked—on Amazon, we will see a portion of that income. You don’t have to do that if you don’t want to, but if you do, know that we appreciate it.

In Colour (Deluxe limited edition)—Jamie xx ($24.99 for vinyl)

Oh my gosh. (That’s both the lyrics to the first track and an enthusiastic recommendation for the rest of it.)

One-year PlayStation Plus membership ($54.96)

Play PS4 games online and get a couple games a month, all for about 15 cents a day.

I’m Just A Person by Tig Notaro ($16.86 hardcover, $12.99 Kindle)

This made our best books of the year so far list in July. Danette Chavez says that “this one’s for the secular mourners out there, who aren’t able to find comfort in platitudes or beatitudes.”

Reusable rubber twist ties ($13.99)

Travel tip: Thread one of these through the two zippers on your suitcase, and twist-tie them together. Throw a couple extra in your suitcase just in case. The TSA can open a locked bag anyway, so this just means you don’t have to remember a combination or a key. (Unclear if those nubby ends would interfere, but you could probably cut one of them off.)

iPad Pro stand ($10.99)

Way easier to work on than when the iPad is on your lap. Especially if you have a feline friend vying for the same space.

@MySmugCat 2017 calendar ($11.34)

Speaking of cats! 2017 calendars featuring Ralph, the cat who meows his own name, are out. We will be buying one. Just look at those sideburns.

A Game Of Thrones board game ($45.87)

While away the long wait for season seven by immersing yourself in your own fantasy of warfare, intrigue, and insect. A Game Of Thrones: The Board Game lets players assume the mantle of a great house of Westeros, vying for influence and control in this political, back-stabbing game. You win or you die.

Coraline ($3.99 to rent, $6.99 to buy)

This one got a rare A from The A.V. Club when it came out in 2009. Based on the equally wonderful book by Neil Gaiman, the stop-motion film is voiced by Teri Hatcher, Dakota Fanning, and Keith David. We wrote that “[Neil] Gaiman poised the story—one of his tightest and slyest—at the nightmarish border of traditional fairy tales, and [director Henry] Selick expands it while respecting its strong characters and eerie tone. Buy the book, too, if you haven’t had the pleasure. It’s under $4 bucks.
