Amazon recently unveiled the Comic-Con trailer for its upcoming show The Man In The High Castle, and it looks more or less like what you’d expect. Based on the Philip K. Dick novel of the same name, the story imagines an alternate history where the United States lost World War II, leading to a Nazi takeover of the country. Alexa Davalos leads a cast of solid names, and showrunner Frank Spotnitz (The X-Files) certainly has the experience to pull off this kind of dark, twisty material. (The book gets pretty meta, so we’ll see how far down that rabbit hole Amazon’s version goes.) But early indications are promising—it was the highest-rated show of all the Amazon pilots we looked at this year—so this series might deliver some great stuff. You’ll be able to binge-watch when the whole thing is released sometime this fall.
