Get Involved, Internet: Help Everything Is Terrible save lonely copies of Jerry Maguire from bargain bins everywhere
Internet video site Everything Is Terrible has been collecting copies of Jerry Maguire from thrift stores for years now, but it’s only recently that the group’s collection has reached critical mass. After an article in the Chicago Tribune that involved letting the film’s director, Cameron Crowe, in on the plot to rescue “homeless Jerrys” from Goodwills everywhere, the group’s collection has surged. It now has almost 5000 copies, a disturbingly abundant yet small fraction of which can be seen in this new video that encourages people everywhere to show the group “their Jerrys.” There’s even an address at the end of the clip for fans to send in their copies, lest “another orphaned Jerry sit forgotten in a cold, dark bargain bin.”
