Get obsessed with the Killing Eve season two trailer
AMC and BBC America have released the first trailer for the second season of Killing Eve, aka Hannibal, But With Women. Set to an eerie cover of “Addicted to Love,” the trailer teases the next chapter in the creepy courtship between MI6 agent Eve (Sandra Oh) and sociopathic psycho-killer Villanelle (Jodie Comer, who is indeed sporting another phenomenal outfit this season). The series, for those who have not yet had the good sense to binge-watch, is based on the Codename Villanelle novellas by Luke Jennings. It’s a sharp riff on the typical exploration of the nebulous line between serial killers and the people who hunt them. While most of those films and series–like Hannibal and Mindhunter–feature men in the lead roles, this one flips the script brilliantly. You actually end up rooting for these two crazy kids to overcome their differences and just get together already.
Here’s the synopsis for the second season of Killing Eve:
In the second season, the action picks up just 36 seconds after the end of the final episode of season one. Villanelle has disappeared and Eve is left reeling, having no idea if the woman she stabbed is alive or dead. With both of them in deep trouble, Eve has to find Villanelle before someone else does…but unfortunately, she’s not the only person looking for her.
The second installment of the series, executive produced by Fleabag’s Phoebe Waller-Bridge, will be simulcast on both networks beginning April 7.
