Get ready for more laughs with pics from night 1 of our comedy festival

Last night, the 4th annual edition of our 26th Annual Comedy Festival kicked off in Chicago with a duo of shows: A special edition of The Modern School of Film screening series with Christopher Guest discussing the films and filmmakers who shaped his singular, gently mocking worldview, and a night of comedy from absurdly witty Late Night With Seth Meyers writer Aparna Nancherla and Chicago’s own stand-up comedian/sex educator Alex Kumin. Look, we have photos:

But we’re just getting started! There’s no need for FOMO (do people still use that phrase? oh well), because we’ve got a couple of opportunities for you to join in the fun tonight. Our Idiocracy screening with Mike Judge is sold out, but tickets are still available for our The Adventures Of Pete & Pete reunion show, as well as a stand-up double bill of Eugene Mirman and Jon Glaser. Eugene Mirman is on Bob’s Burgers, for fuck’s sake, so head on over to the 26 Comedy website and buy some tickets, Chicago!
