Get Your Beat On The Bratz
Attention, struggling bands: Your ship just came in! Geffen Records has placed an open call for submissions to be on the soundtrack for the upcoming Bratz: The Movie. The film—a live-action comedy based on that inexplicably popular line of slutty, cash-obsessed dolls—recently wrapped shooting under the glazed-over eye of executive producer and star Paula Abdul and is now looking for artists to add to a soundtrack featuring bands already signed to Interscope, Geffen, and A&M; (so, let's see, that could include: TV On The Radio, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Wallflowers, Sting, Rufus Wainwright, and Klaxons? Sounds awesome!) To submit, simply go to bratzsoundtrack.com and follow the instructions to have your music judged by a Geffen A&R; rep, and before you know it your band could be on the road to b-a-n-a-n-a-s babysitting money. (The kids still say "bananas," right?)
