As a potential pot of merchandising gold tends to be, apparently Ghostbusters 3 is already a hot project among Hollywood actresses who want to be turned into action figures. Gillian Anderson already has her own action figure, but still wants to be in Ghostbusters 3 so badly that she’s willing to beg for it. Now that she knows it exists, that is.
Anderson participated in a Reddit AMA over the weekend, where in between re-igniting hopes for a third X-Files movie and recommending moisturizers she was asked if she would be interested in appearing in Paul Feig’s all-female, hopefully totally rebooted Ghostbusters sequel. Anderson was not aware of the project initially, but a quick Google search changed her mind:
OH MY GOD, I just looked it up online. Paul Feig, cast me now! Start a Twitter petition! I’m free!!!!! I’m free I’m free and I’m funny, goddamnit!
A Reddit AMA is hardly a formal offer—it’s not even a meeting—but if anybody ain’t afraid of no ghost, it’s Gillian Anderson. She also knows about science, which could come in handy when the EPA comes sniffing around.
