Gina Gershon rolls into Riverdale’s fall finale
Here’s what’s happening in the world of television for Wednesday, December 12. All times are Eastern.
Top pick
Riverdale (The CW, 8 p.m., fall finale): Oh, Riverdale, you’re nuts. In tonight’s fall finale, Jughead and Archie—who, you’ll remember, are on a very meaningful, self-aware road trip—head to Toledo in search of a safe place to lay their weary heads. The reason they point themselves in the direction of that fair metropolis is that it’s there, in the Glass City, that Jughead’s mother (Gina Gershon) and sister Jellybean (Trinity Likins) can be found. So off they go, to feel things and make discoveries and do crunches, one assumes. Maintenance matters.
Meanwhile, back in Riverdale, all manner of crazy shit is happening. There’s an outbreak of seizures. Betty’s still trying to solve the Griffins & Gargoyles mystery. There’s some Hiram drama. You’ve got the idea. New Riverdale resident Charles Bramesco is on the case (and the recap).
Regular coverage
Modern Family (ABC, 9 p.m.): fall finale
South Park (Comedy Central, 10 p.m.): 22nd season finale
Wild card
Ken Jeong Cracks Christmas (YouTube, 3:01 a.m.): Let’s not overthink this one. Ken Jeong is a funny guy. He’s got a lot of holiday spirit. He asks people questions about Christmas. They answer.
It’s festive. That’s it’s deal. Do you want some festive? Enjoy.
