Immediately throwing the presumed casting of Joss Whedon's S.H.I.E.L.D. into disarray, Gina Torres has signed on to co-star in NBC's upcoming Hannibal, the Silence Of The Lambs prequel/Bryan Fuller quirk-fest that continues to round out its cast with familiar faces that may or may not be ripped off and worn by a psychopath. Torres, another Pushing Daisies vet, will play the wife to Deputy Director of Frowny Faces Laurence Fishburne—a part she plays in real life as well, but with much less snappy dialogue. And yes, Torres will balance the show's shooting schedule with her current role on USA's recently renewed Suits, as well as any and all of those new Firefly projects that are definitely going to happen soon.
