We’re less than a month out from the start of what’s likely to be the penultimate season of Girls, HBO’s endlessly divisive tribute/condemnation of the art of endlessly spiraling self-interest. And in case you were having trouble getting your opinion muscles all limbered up for the show’s February 21 premiere, the premium network has been kind enough to offer up a new trailer as a bile-building warm-up exercise. Operating on the tagline “Older. Not much wiser,” the teaser shows Hannah Horvath and crew back in their typical form: naked in weird places, snarking on each other’s lifestyles, and occasionally comparing themselves—favorably, and not—to Cher. Five seasons in, it doesn’t look like Girls has any more interest in changing than its characters do. It’ll be interesting to see what work, if any, the series does this year to push toward its big season-six finale.
