Here’s what’s up in the world of TV for Monday, October 10. All times are Eastern.

Supergirl (The CW, 8 p.m.): Supergirl is back and better than ever. We mean, it’s back and now on a better-suited network. We’re not actually sure if the show’s any better now than it was in its first season, but it’s the little things that count. In tonight’s season premiere, “The Adventures Of Supergirl,” Superman shows up. Yes, the episode with that title is all about Superman—specifically Kara’s feelings of inferiority when it comes to her more famous cousin. But look on the bright: Supergirl’s no longer on CBS.
2 Broke Girls (CBS, 9 p.m.): 2 Broke Girls, on the other hand, is still on CBS, and it’s way past the two-season mark. Tonight is the sixth-season premiere of 2 Broke Girls, and it’s actually double the two. You see, it’s a two-episode, one-hour season premiere. In “And The Two Openings: Parts One & Two,” the two “openings” we’re getting are Max and Caroline’s new dessert bar and the opening that will of course happen as Sophie delivers her baby. Andy Dick and 2 Chainz guest star, and no, this is not a first time appearance on the show for either man.
Suite Francaise (Lifetime, 10 p.m.): Sometimes Lifetime movies just sneak up on you. And we’re even not talking about Eric Roberts’ Stalked By My Doctor franchise. Here, we have a film set “in Nazi-occupied France,” starring Michelle Williams, Kristin Scott Thomas, and Matthias Schoenaerts. Williams’ character, Lucille Angellier, falls in love with Schoenaerts’ Bruno, which is complicated for a couple of reasons. First of all, she’s married and Bruno’s not the husband. Second of all, Bruno’s one of the German soldiers who’s taken over her town and moved into villagers’ (specifically her own) homes. Ah, so Suite Francaise is French for “whoops.” We had no idea.
Premieres and finales
Cake Wars (Food Network, 8 p.m.): A new episode of Cake Wars (in a new time slot) sees the bakers get into the Halloween holiday spirit, of course. This time, it’s with Addams Family-inspired cakes. And yes, the Cake Wars synopsis described the cakes as “creepy and kooky.” Snap snap, etc.
Scorpion (CBS, 10 p.m.): Scorpion’s living life on the edge tonight, with a brand new time slot and an episode titled “It Isn’t The Fall That Kills You.” Really? Is it the spring? (We’re sorry for that terrible, no good dad joke.) So what’s this all about? “When Walter is accidentally launched into space in a rocket”—we’ll stop you right there. Not only does Scorpion continue to be Scorpion-like by having members of Team Scorpion cause the problem of the week, Walter launched himself into space. Come on.
Fameless (TruTV, 10 p.m.): TruTV’s Fameless—the David Spade prank/sketch show—ends its second season tonight. We’re certain people will be both sufficiently pranked and sketch comedied after this episode. “Included: game show host; dog groomer.” Sounds like we’re right on the money with this one.
