Go northwest with the new LP from Washington’s Strange Wilds

Blending Touch And Go-style post rock with early grunge, Strange Wilds is a relatively fresh-faced trio out of Olympia, Washington. With a debut album, Subjective Concepts, due out July 24 on Sub Pop, the band is making some waves—Puget Sound waves, even. As the group’s press material says, Subjective Concepts “bleeds with the DNA of Seattle past and future,” something that makes sense considering both where the band’s from and that the record was recorded in the Emerald City. A.V. Club readers can judge for themselves, though, as Subjective Concepts is streaming below.

For those who are into the record, Sub Pop is taking pre-orders for a special “Loser edition” copy of the record on white vinyl.
