Goat Simulator is coming to Playstation 4 in August

Goat Simulator, the farm animal simulation game that is completely realistic and scientifically accurate, will finally be coming to PlayStations 3 and 4 on August 11. This will increase the number of gaming platforms that Goat Simulator is available on to “all of them,” since you can already play it on PC, iOS, Android, Mac, and the Xboxes One and 360. Goat Simular, for those who have missed out on this cultural touchstone, is sort of like a really bizarre Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater game in which you play as a goat, but also everything is absurd and nothing makes sense. Just watch the video below and maybe you’ll understand it better. (You won’t, but whatever.)

To make the PlayStation version of Goat Simulator a little more special, the developers are using it to launch the new “GoatVR” mode, which will use the power of virtual reality to make you believe that you really are a goat. According to a post on the official PlayStation blog, the part where you actually plug in a VR headset isn’t ready yet, but you can apparently “enjoy a simulated GoatVR experience without it.” So, in other words, a simulated version of virtual reality. Video games are weird these days.
