Godspeed You! Black Emperor has announced a new album, its first in over 10 years. Allelujah! Don’t Bend! Ascend! will be in stores Oct. 16 in North America and Oct. 15 everywhere else.
The band reunited for a few dates back in 2010 and is on tour now. According to a press release, Allelujah! picks up right where Godspeed left off with Yanqui U.X.O., and is “definitively stunning, immersive, and utterly true to [the band’s] legacy.”
A good portion of the record has already leaked, and while it’s reportedly missing two long drone pieces, it seems like a pretty good indication of what’s in store for fans when the actual product drops in a couple of weeks.
