Goldie Hawn doesn't want to be in HBO's The Viagra Diaries anymore

HBO’s The Viagra Diaries has just been dealt a major setback with the loss of star Goldie Hawn, who exited under mutually agreed-upon circumstances that seem to have stemmed from the show’s staff and Hawn mutually agreeing that they don’t like each other. Or that’s the rumor, anyway: Deadline says that Hawn was reportedly “being difficult,” which seems like an almost-inevitable outcome for a show in which Hawn is asked to play a late-60s woman whose husband of 35 years suddenly leaves her, and presumably every other joke is how old and undesirable she is. While the project still has Bridesmaids star Wendi McLendon-Covey and director Paul Feig attached, HBO will now have to find another actress of equal sensibility and caliber for what may as well be called Ewww, Gross. Given that the show is created by Darren Starr, concerns an older lady who writes a frank sex advice column, and is thus already essentially Sex And The Senior-Citizen, they may as well just go all the way and hire Kim Cattrall.
