Goldie Hawn might play Amy Schumer’s mom in Mother/Daughter

According to Variety, Goldie Hawn is in talks to play the mother of Amy Schumer’s character in the upcoming comedy Mother/Daughter. The project is being directed by 50/50’s Jonathan Levine (he really likes slashes) from a script by The Heat’s Katie Dippold, and it reportedly revolves around a woman and her mother who are kidnapped while vacationing in Brazil. If Hawn takes the gig, it’ll be her first movie role since 2002’s The Banger Sisters, and her first acting role in general since then if you don’t count a guest spot on Phineas And Ferb. Could this be the beginning of the Hawnaissance? Will we finally get that Overboard sequel people have been clamoring for? Will Goldie Hawn join the Marvel Cinematic Universe? The answer to all of those questions is yes, but only if Hawn gets the part alongside Amy Schumer in Mother/Daughter. There’s a lot riding on this.
