Good Boys introduces Jacob Tremblay to porn in its new red-band trailer
It seems like only yesterday we first met Jacob Tremblay, the adorable, Star Wars-obsessed child actor who was only nine years old when he became a breakout star thanks to his role as a kidnapped kid seeing the outside world for the very first time in Lenny Abrahamson’s Room (2015). Now young Jacob is 12, thanks very much, and while he still looks very young—a genetic gift he’ll be thankful for when he’s able to play high schoolers well into his 20s—he’s hip to all sorts of R-rated things, thanks to his upcoming film Good Boys and its producer, Seth Rogen.
In the red-band trailer for the film—which plays a bit like Superbad meets Harold And Kumar Go To White Castle, minus the pot—Rogen begins by telling Tremblay and co-stars Keith L. Williams (The Last Man On Earth) and Brady Noon (Boardwalk Empire) that although they play with “weapons” (a.k.a. a parental sex-toy cache) and drop f-bombs in the movie, they aren’t allowed to watch themselves doing so in the trailer—which, as advertised, is full of sex, drugs, and violence, or at least the discussion thereof.
Directed by The Office and Hello Ladies writer-producer Gene Stupnitsky, Good Boys titillates theaters in August.
