Good news, parents: The wait for Frozen 2 just got five days shorter
Disney tends to drop its animated tentpoles on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, a mercy that gives sweaty, turkey-stuffing adults a few hours away from the kids. That luxury, however, may come into jeopardy in 2019, as Deadline reports that Disney will release its anticipated Frozen 2 five days earlier.
It makes sense on Disney’s part, what with the first Frozen being the best Thanksgiving 5-day opener of all-time. Why, one wonders, wouldn’t they choose to dominate another weekend in addition to the holiday stretch that’s already got a built-in audience?
That means Frozen 2 will hit theaters on Friday, November 22 of next year, when audiences will either be belting “Let It Go 2" or hitting up Fox News to commiserate about Elsa’s new girlfriend.
