Goodness gracious, Lucifer is back
Here’s what’s up in the world of TV for Monday, May 1. All times are Eastern.
Top picks
Lucifer (Fox, 9 p.m.): Lucifer Morningstar (Tom Ellis) returns from his “vacation” tonight with a Mrs. Morningstar. Is Chloe (Lauren German) pissed? Well, she did almost die recently; but even if she weren’t dealing with a sense of abandonment, she’d probably never take to “Candy Morningstar.” That happens to be the title of the episode, though we would have gone with “Unholy Matrimony.” In any case, LaToya Ferguson’s ready to toast the new couple.
Supergirl (The CW, 8 p.m.): Rhea (Teri Hatcher) continues to try to get her hooks into Lena (Katie McGrath), who doesn’t know just how deep her ties with her new business partner run. In more urgent (though possibly related) matters, Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) must team up with Maggie (Floriana Lima) to save a kidnapped Alex (Chyler Leigh). Caroline Siede will be following the clues.
Regular coverage
WWE Monday Night Raw (USA, 8 p.m.)
Jane The Virgin (The CW, 9 p.m.)
Better Call Saul (AMC, 10 p.m.)
Wild card
Wishful Drinking (HBO Signature, 8 p.m.): Catch a repeat viewing of Carrie Fisher’s 2010 documentary, and May the 1st be with you.
