As we previously reported back in September, Johnny Depp will reteam with his Pirates Of The Caribbean director Gore Verbinski and producer Jerry Bruckheimer for a retelling of The Lone Ranger, with Depp playing Tonto. In fact, there’s nothing new to the story that is suddenly being reported again across seemingly every single blog (including this one, now), other than the confirmation that Verbinski is indeed directing for real. (Deadline even whipped out the "TOLDJA!" from its rhetorical arsenal.) No start date has been announced, and it’s still unclear when Depp plans to fit it into his schedule, given his recent commitment to Dark Shadows.
