Gotham has so many villains

Here’s what’s up in the world of TV for Monday, September 28. All times are Eastern.

Top pick

Gotham (Fox, 8 p.m.): As we patiently wait for the return of Jane The Virgin (just one more week!), Monday night television still looks pretty dark. Gotham kicked off its season of villains a couple of weeks ago, and tonight promises a faceoff between Jim Gordon and Jerome Valeska as Gordon and Harvey Bullock hunt down a nemesis from their past. Also, someone thought it was a good idea to have a magic show and gala at the Gotham Children’s Hospital, which obviously immediately turns into a hostage situation, because a galan at a Gotham Children’s Hospital is pretty much just an invitation for every villain in town to turn out and fuck shit up.

Regular coverage

WWE Monday Night Raw (USA, 8 p.m.)

Life In Pieces (CBS, 8:30 p.m.)

Minority Report (Fox, 9 p.m.)

Blindspot (NBC, 10 pm.)

What else is on?

The Voice (NBC, 8 p.m.): It’s, thankfully, the last night of the Blind Auditions, so it’s the coaches last chance to shape their teams moving forward. Blake Shelton will probably pick up a few more country singers.

Scorpion (CBS, 9 p.m.): Tonight’s episode of Scorpion asks the pressing question: “What she order, fish filet?” Well, the title of the episode is “Fish Filet,” so we’d like to think it asks that question…but probably not.

Switched At Birth (ABC Family, 8 p.m.): Regina should not have started looking into Eric’s past, because now there are consequences! Also, Bay gets mad when a student sells crude t-shirts featuring her artwork.

Awkward (MTV, 9 p.m.): Jenna takes a little tour of ghosts of ex-boyfriends past, because at this point, she’s really just asking for things to be as awkward as possible. Tamara accuses her of being a relationship saboteur, and *Tamara voice* call her a witch’s hat, because the girl has a point.

Faking It (MTV, 9:30 p.m.): Karma and Amy fake it again—but this is the last time, they swear! And you know, this doesn’t make things super uncomfortable for Amy or anything.

Castle (ABC, 10 p.m.): Castle goes undercover when a college frat boy is killed. No, Castle doesn’t go undercover as a frat boy, unfortunately.

The Notebook (ABC Family, 5 p.m.): 365 letters is a lot of letters.

Fast Five (USA, 5 p.m.): The worst thing about Fast Five is the lack of Michelle Rodriguez in anything other than photos, but it still has some classic F&F franchise moments. Remember: The only acceptable beer to drink during this film is a Corona.

The Roommate (FXM, 8 p.m.): Your friendly What’s On Tonight Monday night correspondent will always—always—take an opportunity to say how much of a disappointment the film The Roommate was. Watch at your own risk.

The Unauthorized Beverly Hills, 90210 Story (Lifetime, 8 pm.): Did you miss the latest Unauthorized entry from Lifetime? You can catch a rerun tonight.

It’s Monday night, so there is football

Lions at Seahawks (ESPN, 8:15 p.m.)

In case you missed it

The Good Wife: The legal drama returned last night, and everything is changing. Eli’s drinking smoothies! Alicia’s on her own! Cary’s getting hit on by associates!
