Grab the Aquanet and step back into the ring for GLOW season 2

Grab the Aquanet and step back into the ring for GLOW season 2

Here’s what’s happening in the world of television for Friday, June 29 and Saturday, June 30. All times are Eastern.

Top pick

GLOW (Netflix, Friday, 3:01 a.m.): The gorgeous—as well as ambitious, supportive, and hilarious—ladies of wrestling are back for another season of high-flying, neon-drenched action. Debbie’s (Betty Gilpin) and Ruth’s (Alison Brie) stars are on the rise as they’ve both wrested some control over their show from Sam (Marc Maron). Their relationship remains as complicated as ever, but in addition to fleshing out the Debbie-Ruth dynamic, season two puts the spotlight on Tammé (Kia Stevens) and Arthie (Sunita Mani). LaToya Ferguson’s already ringside, with reviews publishing throughout Friday and Saturday.

Regular coverage

The Great British Baking Show (PBS, Friday, 9 p.m.)
Ducktales (Disney, Saturday, 9:30 a.m.)

Wild card

A Very English Scandal (Amazon, 3:01 a.m.): Pardon us, but might we interest you in watching a very dapper Hugh Grant do very British things in A Very English Scandal? (It’s not the Paddington 3 you were looking for, but it’s close enough, right?)
