To the surprise of absolutely no one familiar with the franchise and the way making money works, Rockstar Games has officially announced a forthcoming fifth chapter in its popular Grand Theft Auto series. The newest title in the crime-and-annoying-friends-who-always-want-to-go-bowling franchise is expected to be released in 2012, and—as promised on Rockstar’s official website—the first trailer will debut next week. Until then, all anyone has to go on is the below logo, which features a “Five” stylized like a money note. Based solely on this information, it seems clear that Grand Theft Auto V will be an exploration of our current economic woes in which players will alleviate the suffering of the so-called 99 percent by beating them to death with various blunt instruments.
