Gruff Rhys covers “If I Had The World To Give”

Gruff Rhys is best known as the singer of Super Furry Animals, the endlessly fascinating Welsh psychedelic-tinged rock band. But Rhys delivers something different when he’s in solo mode (as on this year’s American Interior). For Holiday Undercover, he took a circuitous route to the season, landing on The Grateful Dead’s “If I Had The World To Give,” which originally appeared on 1978’s Shakedown Street. Just Rhys and a metronome was enough to get us in the spirit. Enjoy.
