Guardians Of The Galaxy gets the How It Should Have Ended treatment

Despite debuting almost three months ago, Guardians Of The Galaxy is still spawning reactions. Whether it’s people making adorable dancing baby Groot toys or even another bunch of songs that were used during filming, the movie continues its influence on cultural conversations—a testament to its popularity and possibly its staying power. How It Should Have Ended has produced the latest response to Marvel’s story of rogues playing keepaway with a metal ball. While based on the same nitpickery foundation of efforts like the Everything Wrong With... series, the cartoonish animation and barrage of jokes makes the examinations of plot holes seem more fun and less like the visual equivalent of an “Um, actually…” Internet comment.

Despite opening with a poop joke, “How Guardians Of The Galaxy Should Have Ended” effectively addresses many elements of James Gunn’s film. These include Thanos’ lack of doing anything, how the literal-minded Drax should have responded to Star-Lord’s inspiring speech, and concludes with a discussion between the Guardians and recurring characters Superman and Batman. Oh, and there’s a Dr. Brule cameo. For your Groot!
