Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 will be at Comic-Con next month

In case the slowly rising number of stained, logo-emblazoned T-shirts in San Diego hadn’t already clued you in, Comic-Con is coming up. And while Fox might be sitting out this year’s celebration of the human body and its capacity to stand in line, their rivals at Marvel have already begun to rally their forces, announcing that one of the most anticipated superhero movies of 2017 will be on display at the Con.

Yep, Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 has been confirmed for Comic-Con 2016, with director James Gunn and star Chris Pratt both confirmed to make an appearance, (presumably accompanied by some poppy ’70s tunes and a rabid, gun-toting animal). The announcement comes the same day that Pratt wrapped shooting on his scenes for the movie, which is set to come out on May 5, 2017.

Comic-Con kicks off this year on July 21, with Preview Night on the 20th. Besides Guardians, Marvel will probably be making a push for Doctor Strange, which comes out this November. The distinguished competition over at D.C., meanwhile, will presumably be stumping for Suicide Squad, out two weeks after the convention concludes, and Wonder Woman, which arrives in theaters next June.
