Guns N' Roses to play first U.S. show in four years at "world's largest biker event"

Outside of demanding that the world stop oppressing him with his non-rock-star name, Guns N’ Roses frontman Axl Rose has been mostly quiet since the sad-trombone coda that was 2008’s Chinese Democracy, which failed to knock the shit out of everyone’s shit and into some more shit with its epic slabs of wickedly brutal ProTools edits. But those who have been waiting patiently to hear Chinese Democracy translated for the stage and to see for themselves exactly how much weight Rose has gained are in luck: Guns N’ Roses has announced its first U.S. show in four years—and only U.S. show in 2010—at Sturgis, South Dakota’s inaugural Rock ‘N’ Rev Festival, which bills itself as the “world’s largest biker event.”

According to the press release, one of Q Magazine’s “50 Bands To See Before You Die”—which is probably totally a recent quote—will join Daughtry, Creed, Stone Temple Pilots, Alice In Chains, Godsmack, 3 Doors Down, Three Days Grace, Wolfmother, and Eagles Of Death Metal in a five-night celebration of “undeniable rock ’n’ roll bedlam” that will “appeal to the leather and chrome sensibilities of everyone who attends.” We don't know what "leather and chrome sensibilities" are, but we might like to apply them to our breakfast nook. Anybody know a guy?
