Guy Fieri reacts to The New York Times in a hilarious unaired Saturday Night Live segment
The now-infamous New York Times evisceration of the new Times Square restaurant of bleached-blonde food goon Guy Fieri is the gift that keeps on giving. First it inspired an eloquent defense from @DadBoner of Twitter. Now it’s inspired a hilarious Saturday Night Live desk piece featuring Bobby Moynihan as Fieri, which inexplicably didn’t make it to air but is quickly going viral. It’s a devastatingly parody of Fieri’s cheeseball persona (“I don’t look like a high-society chef, Seth. I look like I’m playing the sun in a school play”) that’s worth seeing just for Fieri putting on his grandma reading glasses to peruse The New York Times review of his handiwork.
