Half the Fellowship got together for an impromptu Lord Of The Rings reunion
The cast of Peter Jackson’s The Lord Of The Rings was a famously close-knit group, with the members of the Fellowship sharing plenty of inside jokes (and tattoos) accrued during their years of filming in New Zealand. It’s nice, then, to see that those bonds are still intact 15 years later, with retired hobbit Dominic Monaghan documenting a recent LOTR reunion with Aragorn, Frodo, Legolas, Pippin, and himself.
Which is to say, Viggo Mortensen, Elijah Wood, Orlando Bloom, and Billy Boyd, who all apparently got together for dinner and/or dorky picture posing this week. Monaghan—who starred in Lost, and recently appeared in last year’s TV-video game-hybrid Quantum Break—documented the whole thing on his Instagram, as the quintet gamely faced down an imaginary cave troll without the assistance of Jackson’s CGI, managing to look goofily delighted while doing so.
