Halloween's Jamie Lee Curtis to team up with infamous Star Wars murderer Rian Johnson
Now that Jamie Lee Curtis has dealt with one infamous murderer this Halloween season, she’s turned around and teamed up with another: Rian Johnson, a.k.a. the man who killed Star Wars (depending on which spit-flecked Twitter rants or Russian anger robots you listen to, anyway). Variety reports that Curtis has signed on for Johnson’s new murder mystery movie Knives Out, adding one more big, box-office friendly name to an already star-packed cast.
To wit: Michael Shannon, Lakeith Stanfield, Daniel Craig, and Chris Evans have already signed on for this thing, the details of which are still being kept tightly under wraps. All we really know about is that it’s being pitched as a modern-day whodunnit, Johnson’s making it before he dips back into that “new Star Wars trilogy” he’s still on the hook for, and that it’s probably not about an evil, moustache-twirling director who goes around stabbing fanboys in their childhoods by casting women and people of color in his big fancy space movie.
Knives Out is expected to start shooting next month.
