Hans Zimmer needs your help with The Dark Knight Rises soundtrack
The Dark Knight Rises may have abandoned the plans it quite possibly never had in the first place to use Occupy Wall Street as a stand-in for a pissed-off Gotham citizenry, but it’s found a perhaps even better, less exploitative way to utilize the angry voice of the people. Composer Hans Zimmer is asking anyone and everyone to help him create “the sound of a worldwide chant” for the film’s soundtrack by recording themselves at this website, where Zimmer will assemble everyone’s individual bellows and transform them, human microphone-style, into one giant chorus of the disaffected. And inarticulate: Based on the example you’re supposed to follow, it kinda sounds like you’re shouting, “Dishy possum!” But whatever, apparently it doesn’t matter, as Zimmer says there’s “no such thing as out-of-tune, no timing we can't fix later. If you mumble, growl, scream or whisper, it's all good. Make it yours.” So go sign up, and let your cries for dishy possums be heard. [via Coming Soon]
