Happy New Year from The A.V. Club
As we did last week, Newswire is taking the rest of the week off to say goodbye to 2015 and ring in 2016. We have a few pieces of content—including this week’s Staff Picks—coming in over the weekend, but things will be mostly quiet around here until Monday. And since New Year’s is a nondenominational sort of holiday, we only have one set of well-wishes to extend to our beloved readers worldwide. So, instead: Please be safe, and be nice to the people who serve you food and drinks this New Year’s Eve, because they are working while you are out getting blotto. And if your date is rude to the waitstaff, don’t kiss them at midnight, because that sort of entitled behavior shouldn’t be rewarded with kisses. Finally, to our service industry friends, good luck tonight, and may you make next month’s rent in one shift. We’ll see you in 2016.
