Jon Favreau, director of Elf, Iron Man, and, of course, Zathura: A Space Adventure (also affectionately known as Jumanji In Space), announced late yesterday on his Twitter feed that Harrison Ford, who would really rather not be asked again whether he’d prefer a lightsaber or a whip, has joined the cast of the upcoming Cowboys And Aliens. While little is known about Ford’s role in the movie, which promises to pit cowboys against Native Americans before turning both against aliens intent on enslaving humanity, he will almost doubtlessly take up six-shooters against threats both native and foreign to earth. Heck, if Star Wars taught us anything, it’s that even in space, Harrison Ford is a cowboy.
