Part of the joy in watching Mad Men stems from the thrill of absolutely hating Pete Campbell. He keeps climbing the ladder, but feels entitled to praise that no one cares to give. Before he found joy in California, his daily life in New York may have been made more bearable had he simply adopted a “fuck the haters” attitude. And that could be what YouTube user Simon Eustace was going for when he cut some of Campbell’s best show moments to the tune of Nas’ “Hate Me Now.” Or not. Either way, the juxtaposition of Pete Campbell and Nas is pretty great, Bob.
