HBO confirms it's bringing back The Comeback
As first reported last week and is now officially official, HBO has confirmed it’s reviving The Comeback for a limited six-episode run in the fall. The Lisa Kudrow-starring series will return after nearly 10 years off the air, with Kudrow reteaming with co-creator Michael Patrick King to craft the second season they’ve reportedly long been discussing—at least according to the Entertainment Weekly interview with King that led to this in the first place. Also confirmed to return so far are cast members Lance Barber (writer/enemy Paulie G.), Dan Bucatinsky (Valerie’s publicist Billy), Robert Michael Morris (hairstylist Mickey), Damian Young (Valerie’s husband Mark), and Laura Silverman (reality show producer Jane). Noticeably absent from that list are Malin Akerman and Kellan Lutz, who have become bigger stars since their days on the show, but E! says they’re both expected to return in some limited capacity—likely wearing more clothing this time. This news provides a glimmer of hope that we may see a third season of Enlightened in 2023.
