HBO developing Lizzy Caplan-starring comedy series I Don't Care About Your Band

Although Lizzy Caplan received the shittiest birthday present ever when Party Down was canceled, it looks as though HBO might make it up to her, having just begun development on a comedy series adaptation of Julie Klausner’s memoir I Don’t Care About Your Band: What I Learned From Indie Rockers, Trust Funders, Pornographers, Felons, Faux-Sensitive Hipsters, And Other Guys I've Dated as a potential starring vehicle for Caplan. Will Ferrell and Adam McKay’s Gary Sanchez Productions—which previously brought Eastbound And Down and Funny Or Die Presents to the cable channel—has already started working on the project with Caplan, who would play a loosely fictionalized version of Klausner as she sleeps with “a gallery of losers” throughout her 20s, then relates all of their shortcomings and shameful peccadilloes in thrillingly passive-aggressive detail. (So, Sex And The Williamsburg, basically.) Right, like anyone wants to watch Lizzy Caplan sleeping with a bunch of dudes.
