HBO gazes upon the horror it has created and quickly renounces its Fox News movie

Mere hours after the revelation that HBO was developing a movie based on Fox News' Roger Ailes—one that would paint him as a manipulative megalomaniac, in keeping with artistic license—the network has apparently recoiled in terror at the trail of bloody chicken feathers and sworn to put its conservative-rage golem back in the ground. According to the Associated Press, HBO announced late yesterday that it would not be going forward with the film because "it wouldn't be appropriate considering the network's ties to Fox competitor CNN," as well as the coming harvest. Roger Ailes and Fox News have thus narrowly escaped the possibility of anyone forming negative opinions about them.
