HBO has already renewed Veep and Silicon Valley

Because it’s smart enough to clutch firmly onto what’s good in this world, HBO has renewed Veep and Silicon Valley just a day after their respective season premieres. Veep will be back for a fifth season in 2016 with David Mandel taking over showrunning duties from Armando Iannucci, and Silicon Valley will return for its third season of dick jerk algorithms from co-creator Mike Judge.

As Game Of Thrones is already locked in for next season and Last Week Tonight through 2017, this ensures that HBO’s spring Sunday slate will stay intact for at least another year. It also means the premium channel will remain the only place where you can watch a healthy mix of gore and breasts, nerds arguing, political corruption, and even more political corruption all in the span of two and a half hours. Until Veep racks up enough Jonah insults for a 150 minute YouTube supercut of Jonah insults, that is.
