HBO has commissioned some sort of new Flight Of The Conchords show

It’s been five years since Jemaine Clement and Bret McKenzie provided the world with two seasons of pleasant laughs as Flight Of The Conchords, but those dark times could soon be over. While doing press for his upcoming horror comedy What We Do In The Shadows, Clement revealed to The Guardian that HBO has commissioned a new four-episode comedy show from the duo.

“It was supposed to be this year but then we decided to put What We Do in the Shadows out ourselves,” he said. Clement also lamented that he “miss[es] playing Flight of the Conchords gigs,” and would also love to do a musical with McKenzie and director James Bobin at some point.

There are no details about whether Clement and McKenzie will reprise the roles as their semi-selves for HBO, or who all might be on board if and when it comes to fruition, but this is all news that we are into.
