HBO is making a Hello Ladies movie, for all you Hello Ladies diehards

HBO canceled the Stephen-Merchant-goes-to-Hollywood series Hello Ladies after one season, which wasn’t terribly surprising given the show’s low ratings. But presumably in response to the anguished pleas of a hardcore coterie of fans for whom writing Hello Ladies fan fiction was no longer enough, HBO has announced that it will air Hello Ladies: The Movie on November 22 at 10 p.m. The movie will bring closure to the events of the first season while allowing viewers to watch Merchant awkwardly hit on women who want nothing to do with him just one more time, prompting Dan Harmon to wonder if he should have pitched Community as an edgy HBO half-hour series after all.
