HBO has released its first teaser trailer for the upcoming sixth season of Game Of Thrones, and like the poster that came out a couple of weeks ago, the emphasis is on two things: Blood, and the return of a beloved character whose fate was left uncertain at the end of season five.
We’re talking of course about Bran, who was absent last season but will apparently return for more of not doing much of anything come April. Oh, and Jon Snow, whose life seems to be flashing before his eyes as he bleeds out in the snow. Well, not really his life, but the life of the series, as pivotal moments from previous seasons flash by in quick succession. Cut to Bran warging it up in white contacts, promising, “They have no idea what’s going to happen.”
This would appear to support a fan theory that Jon Snow will live on, not in his own body but in by transferring his consciousness into the body of an animal, presumably his direwolf Ghost. Or not. It’s pretty vague. But hopefully this means that we’ll get to see more Hodor. Hodor Hodor Hodor!
Game Of Thrones returns to HBO next April.
