HBO’s putting the whole 1st season of Insecure online for free

In the first season-two teaser, Issa Rae’s Insecure swapped the “as fuck’s” for “hella’s,” as in “hella confused.” We wouldn’t expect any less of the show’s star and co-creator, who remains an Awkward Black Girl despite leading her own HBO series. Rae and her comedy made their impressive debut last fall, picking up two Golden Globe nominations. Season two will presumably pick up in the aftermath of Issa’s drawn-out confession to Lawrence (Jay Ellis) about Daniel (Y’lan Noel), who, if the teaser’s any indication, are both still very much on her mind (and who could blame her?). But don’t expect her ride-or-die friendship with Molly (Yvonne Orji) to take a backseat—not in season two, or ever.

If you missed any or all of the first season, HBO is running a season-one marathon online for free. On July 23 (at 3 a.m. ET), you can catch the first eight episodes of the series on HBO.com and YouTube. Then, at 10:30 p.m. ET, season two will officially premiere on HBO.
