Hear a remastered song from Wire’s Document And Eyewitness reissue

Document And Eyewitness has long been a relatively overlooked but vital part of Wire’s catalog. The 1981 collection of live material, rare B-sides, and unreleased tracks is a lingering snapshot of the post-punk legend’s original, 1976-’80 run, one that fills in many of the gaps of its official studio discography. It’s getting an expanded, remastered reissue, and that includes the song “Revealing Trade Secrets,” which is being streamed here. Twitchy, icy, and obliquely melodic, it never appeared on any of Wire’s studio recordings—but it would have been right at home on masterpieces like 1979’s 154.
