Hear Marcus Mumford and Oscar Isaac cover "Fare Thee Well (Dink's Song)" for the Inside Llewyn Davis soundtrack

Snippets of the original music for the Coen brothers’ latest film Inside Llewyn Davis have popped up in the various trailers released so far, but as the film’s December release date gets closer, more details about the music are coming out. The soundtrack album for the film, which follows an aspiring folk singer (Oscar Isaac) loosely based on Dave Van Ronk, will be released in November and contains tracks performed by Isaac, Justin Timberlake, Carey Mulligan, and Adam Driver, plus an unreleased version of Bob Dylan’s “Farewell.” Co-exec produced by T Bone Burnett and Marcus Mumford, it’s an eclectic mix of folky tunes, one of which is now available online. The folk standard “Fare Thee Well” is performed by Mumford and Isaac, and is below. From the track list and the Coens’ track record for cultivating music in their films, this looks to do for 1960’s folk what the O Brother, Where Art Thou? soundtrack did for bluegrass.
