Hear the exclusive premiere of Ezra Furman's latest single

When Ezra Furman isn't busy performing Wilco songs on Ferris wheels, he's been working on a new solo album. Day Of The Dog comes out Oct. 8 on Bar/None, and The A.V. Club has the exclusive premiere of the first single. "My Zero" is colorfully upbeat, with some especially fun horns. The tune is indicative of Furman's shift from his darker, ballad-ridden The Year Of No Returning to something a little more sanguine. He says that he has reinvented himself "as an angry young man ready to throw himself on the pyre in search of the redemption that will follow." "My Zero" is available as a 7-inch single exclusively through Furman's website.
