Hear the huge, reissued debut by post-rock band The Grasshopper Lies Heavy

San Antonio’s The Grasshopper Lies Heavy has been skittering under the radar for years now, in spite of the huge, post-rock soundscapes the band is so adept at building. But one of those testaments to gut-churning beauty—the band’s 2010 debut album, Every Man For Himself And God Against All—is getting a second chance. The record is being remixed, remastered, and re-released, and not a moment too soon. Its five-part, instrumental song-cycle lulls and erupts hypnotically, a pitched battle between delicate melody and elemental vastness.

Every Man For Himself And God Against All will be reissued July 1 via Crowquill Records.
