Hear The National’s Matt Berninger sing “The Rains Of Castamere” live
In the long wait for the next season of Game Of Thrones, some fans have been getting their fix by attending the ongoing Game Of Thrones Live Concert Experience, an arena tour in which the music of the series is played live. And apparently, along the way growling rock men have been showing up to perform their renditions of the ominous Lannister tune, “The Rains Of Castamere.“ In Vegas, The National’s Matt Berninger did the honors on the song that spelled doom and gloom for Catelyn and Robb Stark in the episode of the same name, reprising his rendition from the season two soundtrack.
Meanwhile, in Los Angeles, System Of A Down’s Serj Tankian offered up his interpretation of the song.
It’s like the Game Of Thrones version of Taylor Swift’s “please welcome to the stage,” but way more depressing.
