Heartwarming film in the works about creepy death-predicting cat
In retrospect, this news was inevitable: A film is being developed about Oscar, the cat who lives at a Providence nursing home and eerily predicts when its residents will die by curling up with them hours before they go. David Dosa’s bestseller Making The Rounds With Oscar: The Extraordinary Gift Of An Ordinary Cat will provide the basis for an adaptation headed by Stephen Lindsey (Hachi: A Dog’s Tale) and Luis Ugaz—and from the sound of things, they’re going the heartwarming route, rather than the film we would make, Death Cat. (“He will purr. You will croak. DEATH CAT.”)
