Henry Rollins apologized for his shitty thoughts on suicide
Henry Rollins has apologized for criticizing those who have committed suicide, saying in a post to his website, “That I hurt anyone by what I said, and I did hurt many, disgusts me.” He adds that it wasn’t his intent to draw anyone’s ire, saying he’s “had a life of depression,” and that “knowing what I know and having been through what I have, I should have known better but I obviously did not.” Rollins also says he’s “not asking for a break from the caning” and invites people to take him “to the woodshed as much as you see fit. If what I said has caused you to be done with me, I get it.”
Rollins has also posted a new column at L.A. Weekly, elaborating on those thoughts and saying that, while he “cannot defend the views” he expressed, he promises he “will dig in and educate” himself.
